USA Swimming College Challenge
This past weekend was the USA Swimming College Challenge! The USA Swimming College Challenge was presented by Arena,. The competition consisted of 16 men’s and 16 women’s events, which included 13 individual races and 3 relays for women and men. It took place at Indiana University Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in downtown Indianapolis. "The USA College Challenge, presented by Arena, will be an exciting competition for swimmers and fans alike" said the USA Swimming National Team Director Frank Busch. "As you saw this summer, collegiate swimming is a key pipeline for our National Team, and this event will showcase college and Olympic- caliber swimming at its best." And he was right. This swim meet showed off the great talents of the swimmers and many broke records and improved their personal best times. It gave the college swimmers a chance to compete with world class athletes. "Great" swims were shown by majority of swimmers! To look at all the stats of records broke over the weekend, #USAvsB1G. Katie Ledecky, representing Stanford swam 1,000 freestyle SCM, and had a time of 9:10.49 and this made the record books. Another great swimmer this weekend was Tom Shields, olympian had an exceptional swim and you can't watch this swim.
